[Description]
Apples, pears, rapeseed, leeks and other fruits and vegetables with higher moisture are suitable for plastic wrap. The use of plastic wrap for these fruits and vegetables can not only keep them fresh for a long time, but also increase certain nutrients. In this study, American scientists found that 100 grams of leek wrapped in plastic wrap had 1.33 mg more vitamin C after 24 hours, and 1.92 mg more in rape and lettuce leaves.

The vegetables covered with plastic wrap were compared with those that were cooked without the plastic film and kept in the refrigerator for 6 hours. It was found that the vegetables covered with plastic wrap did protect vitamin C. For example, 100g tomatoes without plastic wrap have 19mg of vitamin C, while those with a film of 22mg; 100mg wax gourd contains 25mg and 30mg of vitamin C; white radish is 25mg and 27mg, respectively. Therefore, after cooking, the vegetables are covered with plastic wrap to maintain their nutritional value, but the vegetables must be covered with plastic wrap after they have cooled.
